DBKL to Install CCTV at Bukit Kiara Federal Park

Kuala lumpur: The Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) will install closed-circuit television cameras at the car park of Bukit Kiara Federal Park following recent vehicle break-ins.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, installation works are set to begin within a week and are expected to be completed by early March. The decision comes after Seputeh Member of Parliament Teresa Kok raised concerns over a car break-in at the site and proposed the installation of CCTV in the area.

DBKL emphasized their commitment to addressing the incident and public concerns. They stated that the safety of city residents and park visitors remains a priority in maintaining a secure public environment.

In related developments, police are investigating damage to Teresa Kok's car window at the park on February 22. Brickfields deputy police chief Supt Ahmad Firdaus Mustaffa Kamal reported that the incident likely occurred between 6.15 pm and 7 pm while the MP was exercising in the park.
