DBKL Kayaker Mohd Azlan Ibrahim Clinches Victory in Labuan Kayak Challenge

Labuan: Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (DBKL) kayaker Mohd Azlan Ibrahim emerged champion in the Men's Single category of the Labuan International Round Island Kayak Challenge, completing the 51.2-kilometre route in five hours, 49 minutes, and 15 seconds.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Persatuan Kanu Kuala Lumpur's Mohd Faizal Mohamed Kamil finished second with a time of 6:14:30, while his teammate Mohd Khirulniza Salleh took third place after recording 6:25:44.

In the Men's Double category, father-and-son pair Dullah Besar and Danish Dullah from Sipitang, Sabah, won the title after completing the challenge in 5:52:25. Persatuan Kanu Putrajaya pair Mohd Harizul Iman Mas Irham and Ahmad Syafiq Iqram Ahmad Suhaimi secured second place with a time of 5:55:47, while another Putrajaya pair, Nik Afiq Nik Mazli and Muhammad Adib Kamaruzrizan, finished third in 5:58:00.

The Mixed Double category was won by Freddy Anggang and Lee Shu Na of the PDRM Sipitang/Labuan kayak team, who clocked 5:58:47. Labuan kayak team pair Jiana Tosawi and Nedsfar Sukarno came in second with a time of 6:11:59, while Alya Farzana Mohd Ali and Mohd Danial Firdaus Mohamad, also from the Labuan kayak team, took third place in 6:25:25.

The challenge, one of the main events of the Labuan International Sea Challenge (LISC) 2026, attracted 104 participants, including 24 foreign participants from China, Singapore, France, and Brunei.
