DBKL Extends Deadline for PTKL2040 Amendment Applications to August 7

Kuala lumpur: Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) has announced an extension of the deadline for submitting applications to amend the Kuala Lumpur Local Plan 2040 (PTKL2040). The new deadline is set for 5 pm on August 7.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, DBKL's decision to extend the deadline aims to provide additional time for registered landowners, developers, and stakeholders to prepare and submit their Letters of Intent, complete with all necessary supporting documents. DBKL emphasized the importance of including justifications for the proposed amendments, along with a clear location or site plan and the latest land title documents for the site in question.

The application process is designed to facilitate amendments to the PTKL2040 provisions, as stipulated under Section 17 of the Federal Territory (Planning) Act 1982 (Act 267). Interested parties can submit their applications directly to the director of the City Planning Department (JPRB) on Level 9, Menara DBKL 1, Jalan Raja Laut, or via email at [email protected].

Additionally, DBKL mentioned that applicants who require the preparation of a Local Plan Amendment Proposal Report (LCPPT) may need to appoint a Registered Town Planner, contingent on the scope of their application. The Application Checklist and the Kuala Lumpur LCPPT Manual are available for download from the Kuala Lumpur Development Plan website at https://ppkl.dbkl.gov.my.

DBKL encourages stakeholders to utilize the extended period to ensure that their applications are complete and orderly, thereby facilitating a smoother amendment process.
