Kuala lumpur: Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) demolished 18 unauthorised structures built on public road reserves near the Jalan Rejang Open Morning Market in Setiawangsa yesterday.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the integrated operation was carried out in collaboration with the police (PDRM), Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), and Pengurusan Air Selangor. The demolition was executed under Section 46(1)(a) of the Street, Drainage and Building Act 1974, with two seizure actions conducted under Section 46(1)(d) of the same Act.
DBKL emphasized its commitment to taking firm action against any construction of structures without approval on public road reserves. The agency aims to safeguard public safety and interest while ensuring continuous monitoring and enforcement.
