Singapore: DayOne Data Centers Limited, an independent hyperscale data center platform headquartered in Singapore, has announced the successful completion of definitive agreements for a Series C equity financing round, amassing over US$2 billion. This substantial funding round is noted as one of the largest private capital raises within the data center industry. The financing was spearheaded by Coatue, a global investor already involved with DayOne, and saw participation from other significant entities, including the Indonesia Investment Authority (INA), which serves as Indonesia's sovereign wealth fund.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Series C funding attracted a diverse group of international investors, thereby broadening DayOne's shareholder base and fortifying its capacity for expansion into global markets. The inclusion of investors from regions such as the United States, Europe, and Asia-Pacific is in alignment with DayOne's strategic focus on growth in the Asia-Pacific and European markets. This latest financing effort adds to the total of US$1.9 billion previously garnered through Series A and Series B equity rounds in 2024, along with a substantial mezzanine debt facility of up to £1 billion secured in 2025.
