Kuala lumpur: DAP will conduct a thorough review of its defeat in yesterday's 16th Negeri Sembilan state election, said its National Chairman Gobind Singh Deo. He emphasized that the party is committed to understanding and addressing the grievances and concerns of the electorate, with a focus on regaining their trust and support.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Gobind stated, "The voters of Negeri Sembilan have delivered their verdict in the 16th state election and we accept this outcome with all humility. We thank every voter who supported Pakatan Harapan and DAP." He also acknowledged the narrow defeat of DAP's secretary-general Anthony Loke in Chennah, highlighting the competitive nature of the race.

In the recent election, Barisan Nasional (BN) secured 18 state seats, Pakatan Harapan (PH) won 11, and Perikatan Nasional (PN) captured seven. DAP successfully won nine out of the 11 seats it contested, indicating areas of both strength and needed improvement.

Gobind, who also serves as the Digital Minister, reiterated DAP's respect for the democratic process and extended congratulations to those elected to form the new Negeri Sembilan state government.
