Daniel Doughty Re-Elected CILTM Sabah Chairman

Kota kinabalu: Daniel Doughty has been re-elected chairman of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport Malaysia (CILTM) Sabah Section at its 2025 annual general meeting (AGM), reflecting continued confidence in his leadership.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the AGM also saw deputy chairman Mohd Faizal Malik retaining his position. The meeting confirmed the appointment of Azrahwani E. Sabin as secretary and Karen Rachel Sugai as treasurer. The executive committee now includes Rose Wong, Oscar Gilbert George Francis, and Shahrul Safwan Najwan Faisyal.

In his remarks, Doughty expressed gratitude to outgoing committee members for their contributions. 'We extended our sincere appreciation to our former exco members who had served with commitment and integrity... their contributions form the foundation we continue to build on,' he told Bernama today.

The AGM was attended by CILT Malaysia deputy president Zawiah Abdul Majid. She noted that CILTM Sabah has been active in engaging stakeholders and contributing to discussions on logistics and transport development in the state. The chapter has been advocating for greater alignment within Sabah's transport framework.

Zawiah highlighted the role of the Sabah chapter in strengthening industry engagement and policy discourse. 'CILTM Sabah has demonstrated relevance and consistent engagement in industry matters, contributing to ongoing developments in the transport sector,' she added.
