Serdang: Local halal meat producer DAEM Sdn Bhd (DAEM) has launched its digital ordering system, Integrated Management Autonomous Network (IMAN), marking the second phase of its five-phase development plan. The artificial intelligence-driven system was launched by Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security secretary-general Datuk Seri Isham Ishak during the Malaysia Agriculture, Horticulture and Agrotourism Exhibition (MAHA) 2026 at the Malaysia Agriculture Expo Park Serdang (MAEPS).
According to BERNAMA News Agency, DAEM co-founder and celebrity entrepreneur Muhammad Alif Mohd Satar, better known as Alif Satar, explained that while the first phase introduced the Direct Access to Exceptional Meats concept through mobile trucks, IMAN now brings that experience digitally to customers via WhatsApp. Customers can interact with the IMAN chatbot by scanning a QR code, allowing them to check inventory, place orders, and make payments without downloading additional applications.
'We want to make it easy for customers to buy fresh meat. No new application or complicated process is needed - just WhatsApp to select, order, and pay,' Alif Satar told reporters after the launch. The launch event was also attended by Department of Veterinary Services director-general Datuk Dr Mohd Noor Hisham Mohd Haron and DAEM co-founder Muhammad Radhi Azizan.
DAEM began operations on Aug 1, 2024, with the introduction of DAEM Meat Nomads, a mobile meat truck concept delivering halal products directly to consumers. Under its direct-to-consumer (D2C) model, DAEM aims to provide next-day delivery across Kuala Lumpur and the Klang Valley using cold chain packaging.
For future phases, Alif Satar shared plans to integrate the IMAN system with third-party logistics providers through Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) to enhance automated delivery and order tracking. Additionally, DAEM is expanding its offerings to include live goat sales, as well as akikah and korban services, with a target of selling around 2,000 goats monthly.
Meanwhile, Muhammad Radhi outlined DAEM's five-phase roadmap, which aims to create a secure and traceable farm-to-table ecosystem that links livestock sources, production, inventory, technology, delivery, and consumers. Speaking to Bernama, he emphasized the company's efforts to establish a diverse and secure livestock supply chain in alignment with national food security and self-sufficiency goals. The strategy involves sourcing livestock from various local and international suppliers in phases while developing local farming and breeding capabilities, with goats as the initial focus before expanding to cattle.
