Custom-Engraved Medals Add Special Touch To HAWANA 2026 Fun Walk

Titiwangsa: While most fun walk events give finisher medals as a symbol of participation, the HAWANA 2026 Fun Walk offered something extra, the opportunity for participants to engrave their names on the medals.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, this unique feature became one of the event's main highlights, transforming the finisher medal into a more meaningful personal memento for participants. For Aina Adriana Azizan, 28, the medal she received is a unique keepsake she will always cherish.

Attending the fun walk with her sister, she said the opportunity to engrave her name for free at the BigBigPlace booth, one of the 14 strategic partners of the HAWANA 2026 Fun Walk, added value to the casual event. 'The medal we received today is very unique, attractive, and something I will never forget because we engraved our own names for free, and the process was also very quick. In addition to names, we can also include other words or meaningful numbers, such as a birth date,' she told Bernama after the event at Titiwangsa Lake Gardens here today.

Meanwhile, Asymal Widad Asyhar Badri, 26, described the initiative as a distinctive feature that sets the HAWANA 2026 Fun Walk apart from other runs and fun walks he has participated in. 'The engraving service gives the medal a more exclusive feel and turns it into a personal keepsake,' he said, adding that he also won a cooler box in the lucky draw.

The HAWANA 2026 Fun Walk was organised to promote a healthy lifestyle and strengthen ties between media practitioners and the public through community-based recreational activities. Held in conjunction with this year's National Journalists' Day (HAWANA), the fun walk attracted nearly 2,000 participants, comprising media practitioners and their families, government agency representatives, and members of the public.
