Covid-19 deaths (Jan 28): 10 reported fatalities, spike in infections

COVID-19 | The Health Ministry reported a total of 10 new Covid-19 fatalities yesterday (Jan 27), bringing the cumulative death toll to 31,940. Malaysia has the highest number of deaths per capita in the Asean and East Asian regions with 967 deaths per 1 million population. There were three new cases of victims who were “brought-in-dead” before they were confirmed to have Covid-19. The highest number of deaths was reported in Selangor (3) followed by Kelantan (2), Kuala Lumpur (2), Johor (1), Perak (1) and Sarawak (1).
