Cops Probe Singapore-Registered Car For Driving Against Traffic

Kota Tinggi: Police are investigating an incident involving a Singapore-registered vehicle travelling against traffic at Kilometre 55 of the Senai-Desaru Expressway yesterday.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Kota Tinggi police chief Supt Yusof Othman stated that the incident is believed to have occurred at around 11.31 am yesterday. A 12-second video documenting the event was uploaded to the ‘Community Roda Johor’ Facebook page, capturing the white vehicle with registration number SNT4298 driving against the traffic, thereby endangering other road users.

Supt Yusof Othman confirmed the case is under investigation according to Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987, which deals with reckless and dangerous driving. He urged individuals with additional information about the incident to reach out to Traffic Enforcement Officer Insp Amirul Mustakim Mustaza at 017-479 3329 to assist in the investigation.

He also advised all road users to remain vigilant and adhere to traffic laws to ensure everyone’s safety.
