Sarawak: Sarawak, Sabah, Labuan and eastern peninsula are likely to experience continuous rain until March 23, according to the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia).
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the director-general of MetMalaysia, Mohd Hisham Mohd Anip, stated that the latest weather forecast models show that the ongoing monsoon surge is expected to persist until March 23. This weather pattern is likely to bring rain, strong winds, and rough seas in the South China Sea.
Mohd Hisham mentioned that an alert-level continuous rain warning has been issued for Sarawak from March 18 to 20. In addition, a strong winds and rough seas warning is in place for the South China Sea from March 18 to 21.
He also advised the public to stay informed by visiting MetMalaysia’s website, following their social media accounts, and downloading the myCuaca app for accurate and timely weather updates.
