Perlis:A thorough grasp of fiqh, or Islamic jurisprudence, is vital for addressing societal issues wisely and fairly, following the teachings of the Quran and Sunnah. The Raja Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail, emphasized this point, noting that such understanding must consider scriptural evidence, Islamic legal principles, scholarly opinions, and contemporary realities.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin highlighted the importance of sound fiqh knowledge in providing religious guidance that is clear and relevant to modern needs. He pointed out that advancing technology and changing times continually introduce new issues that require careful fiqh examination. Therefore, he stressed the need for strengthened scholarly research and ijtihad to ensure that these issues are addressed with robust knowledge and arguments.

He also underscored the necessity for society to receive clear and comprehensible explanations of Islamic legal rulings to guide daily life. These remarks were made during the 4th Conference of the Council of Nusantara Scholars and the Nusantara Scholars' Discourse organized by the Perlis State Mufti Department and the Perlis Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIPs).

Tuanku Syed Faizuddin expressed his hope that Perlis would remain a dynamic platform for intellectual discussions informed by a comprehensive understanding of Islam. He also wished for the conference's resolutions to guide state administration, religious bodies, educators, and the public, and to be developed into publications and educational programs for broader community benefit.

He concluded by expressing his belief that efforts to provide accurate and accessible religious knowledge will foster a well-informed society, capable of evaluating issues maturely and practicing Islamic teachings with deeper understanding.
