Cloudflare’s Log Explorer Simplifies Security, Performance Monitoring

San Francisco: Cloudflare Inc, the leading connectivity cloud company, has announced the general availability of its Log Explorer to help give businesses instant access to critical security and performance insights across their information technology (IT) environments.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the log management market has been complex and expensive for a prolonged period. Cloudflare believes businesses deserve a more streamlined solution, and due to the scale of their platform, they are uniquely positioned to provide a faster, more unified method for businesses to gain crucial visibility and understand risks.

Cloudflare’s President of Product and Engineering, CJ Desai, stated that Cloudflare already detects threats faster than any other solution available. By combining their threat detection capabilities with native log management, they aim to reduce dependency on certain third-party tools, like Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems.

The Log Explorer now allows customers to analyze, investigate, and monitor security attacks with log line level insights, eliminating the need for third-party security analysis tools. This advancement can save security teams time and reduce overall costs as they rely on logs for troubleshooting, investigating security incidents, and optimizing performance, reliability, and security.

Following a successful preview with over 500 users, Log Explorer is available to all businesses. It enables them to reduce the cost and complexity of third-party tools, investigate issues from a single source, and address problems swiftly with an in-dashboard response. With a one-click setup for instant log analysis, the tool eliminates the need for pipelines or tuning, providing integrated insights across various logs within the Cloudflare Dashboard. Security and operations teams can now respond to issues in real time without switching platforms.

Moreover, Cloudflare plans to introduce customizable log retention policies, offering organizations greater flexibility to meet compliance and audit requirements.
