Kuala Lumpur: Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar affirmed the unwavering commitment of civil servants to maintain neutrality, impartiality, and loyalty to the current government.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, this commitment aligns with a decree by His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, emphasizing that civil servants must remain uninfluenced by political parties. Shamsul Azri noted that these principles are fundamental to good governance, ensuring that decisions and policies are executed without political bias and in the public interest.
He reiterated that civil servants are steadfast in fulfilling their constitutional duty and are committed to providing exemplary service to the people and the nation. This dedication is crucial for policy implementation and efficient public service delivery.

Earlier, during his speech at the investiture ceremony at Istana Negara, Sultan Ibrahim urged civil servants to prioritize national and public interests. His Majesty insisted that government officials must adhere to established rules and regulations rather than yielding to political pressures.
