Kuala lumpur: CelcomDigi Bhd has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Terengganu Incorporated Sdn Bhd to promote digitalisation and artificial intelligence (AI) adoption across the group. This initiative stems from a series of workshops conducted between the two organisations aimed at identifying key opportunities and priorities to advance Terengganu’s digital transformation.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Terengganu Inc will utilise CelcomDigi’s digital and AI expertise to expedite its transformation journey. Following a thorough digital capability assessment across 13 of the organisation’s subsidiaries, CelcomDigi will assist in developing a targeted AI strategic framework. This framework will address and strengthen key areas, including connectivity, cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, Internet of Things (IoT), and data readiness.

The strategic framework is designed to serve as a blueprint to modernise operations, enhance efficiencies, and future-proof the group’s capabilities. This aligns with Terengganu state’s vision for a resilient, tech-driven economy. The partnership builds on CelcomDigi’s ongoing efforts with Terengganu Inc to identify opportunities that bolster the state’s key industries and foster economic growth.

By digitalising core sectors, both organisations aim to unlock new efficiencies, empower local enterprises, and enhance public services. This collaboration seeks to drive sustainable, technology-enabled progress, supporting Terengganu’s long-term resilience and competitiveness in line with Malaysia’s digital ambitions.
