Johor bahru: CBH Engineering Holding Bhd’s (CBHB) wholly-owned subsidiary, CBH Engineering Sdn Bhd, has secured a RM31.4 million contract to carry out mechanical and electrical works for a 132 kilovolt (kV) ‘consumer landing station’ (CLS) at a proposed data centre in Johor.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the mechanical and electrical engineering service provider accepted a letter of award, dated Aug 25, 2025, from a main contractor identified only as Company A, whose name was withheld under a non-disclosure agreement.
The scope of works to be undertaken by CBH Engineering under the contract involves supplying, installing, testing, and commissioning mechanical and electrical works to a 132 kV CLS for a proposed data centre in Johor. The contract period is set to commence on Sept 7, 2025, with the estimated ‘date of readiness for energisation’ slated for March 10, 2026.
The company indicated that the contract is anticipated to contribute positively to its earnings, earnings per share, and net assets throughout the project’s duration. CBH Engineering also mentioned that there are no interests, direct or indirect, from directors, major shareholders, or persons connected with them concerning the contract. The board believes that accepting the contract aligns with the ordinary course of business and is in the best interest of the company.
