CBH Engineering Secures RM172 Million Contract for Data Centre Substation


Kuala lumpur: CBH Engineering Holding Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary, CBH Engineering Sdn Bhd, has been awarded a significant contract worth RM172 million to design and construct an electrical supply system for a 275 kilovolt (kV)/13.8kV consumer substation. This substation is intended for a proposed data centre in Selangor.



According to BERNAMA News Agency, the identity of the employer remains undisclosed as they have not consented to reveal their information. This was stated by CBH in a filing with Bursa Malaysia. The company also mentioned that once the general contractor is formally appointed by the employer, CBH Engineering’s contractual obligations will be transferred to the general contractor, with necessary amendments to the contract.



The project involves designing, supplying, installing, testing, and commissioning the electrical supply system. The comprehensive scope of work includes the supply, erection, installation, testing, and commissioning of all substation equipment along with the associated civil works for the electrical supply system of the consumer substation.



The contract is scheduled to run for 14 months, starting from July 11, 2025, with an expected completion date of September 10, 2026.
