Capcom’s Resident Evil Requiem Global Sales Exceed Five Million Units

Tokyo: Capcom Co Ltd, the developer, publisher and distributor of interactive entertainment, announced that global sales of Resident Evil Requiem, released on Feb 27, have surpassed five million units.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the title elevates the essence of survival horror by heightening the interplay between intense fear and exhilarating action. The game was developed using Capcom's proprietary RE ENGINE, enabling photorealistic visuals, including detailed character features such as skin textures, teary eyes, flowing hair and realistic light translucency.

In addition, the title offers a new gameplay experience for a broad fanbase through multiple difficulty settings that accommodate both newcomers and experienced players, while allowing players to switch between first-person and third-person perspectives in real time to suit their play styles.

Prior to its release, the game garnered significant recognition from fans worldwide, including at Gamescom 2025, where it received four awards, such as Most Epic, presented to the game delivering the most breathtaking and awe-inspiring experience.
