Kuala Lumpur:Founder and chairman of OE EduGroup, Datuk Wira Dr. Calvin Khiu, has been appointed as a visiting professor of Entrepreneurship at Jesselton University College (JUC), effective October 25.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, JUC's president and Board of Governors chairman, Prof Datuk Dr. Fred Y. F. Chin, stated that this appointment is intended to integrate Khiu's extensive experience in business management and entrepreneurship development into the higher education system more systematically. This integration aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world business practice.

Prof Chin expressed hopes that Khiu would share his first-hand experience in entrepreneurial decision-making, organizational management, and business growth directly with JUC's master's and doctoral students. This initiative is expected to provide students with an understanding of business operations beyond their academic curriculum.

Chin also noted that the appointment signifies an effort to expand entrepreneurship education beyond concepts and theoretical frameworks to include real-market assessments and strategic decision-making. This broader approach is designed to strengthen students' theoretical knowledge and research skills, while exposing them to the dynamics of entrepreneurial decision-making and business growth planning.
