DUBAI: Callabio Manufacturing Sdn Bhd, a ‘coffee syrup’ manufacturing company located in Malaysia, anticipates surpassing RM50 million in potential sales through the International Sourcing Programme (INSP) featured at the MIHAS@Dubai 2024 exhibition.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the company’s owner, Mohamad Shahir Mohamad Suhaimi, shared that during the INSP, Callabio Manufacturing received numerous offers from buyers in Dubai and other regions, facilitated by the Malaysian External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE). “MATRADE helped us a lot to meet the right buyers. Throughout INSP, we got many potential buyers from Dubai and many were interested in our products,” he noted, emphasizing the unique market position of their coffee syrup product, which faces limited competition but enjoys high demand. The company has already signed several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with entities from Dubai, India, and the United States.
On the first day of the exhibition, Callabio registered an export pot
ential of RM16 million. To date, more than 30 companies have expressed interest in their products, with the sales potential estimated to exceed RM40 million. Mohamad Shahir highlighted the importance of the INSP by MATRADE, stating, “The INSP by MATRADE helps local bumiputra entrepreneurs to expand their products internationally. This is a very good programme for entrepreneurs in Malaysia and I hope MATRADE can continue programmes like this and expand MIHAS to other countries.”
The INSP initiative serves as a strategic platform that connects Malaysian exporters with international buyers, promoting valuable networking opportunities and trade discussions. Through INSP, participating companies can showcase their unique halal-certified products and services directly to potential partners globally. By integrating INSP into MIHAS@Dubai, MATRADE demonstrates its commitment to supporting Malaysian businesses in establishing strong international networks, which are crucial for sustained growth and global market expan
sion in the halal sector.
