Bursa malaysia: Bursa Malaysia Bhd has introduced ThoughtStream, a digital platform designed to enable investors, researchers, students, and market enthusiasts to share independent research and insights on listed companies and market trends. By linking contributors with licensed investment advisers, the platform aims to extend the reach of public research to a wider investing community.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, ThoughtStream addresses the current investment landscape’s gap, where anonymous research and unlicensed commentary are common on social media and online forums. Available on MyBURSA, this platform serves as a repository where the public can submit research papers and market analyses. Licensed investment advisers participating in ThoughtStream review and select quality submissions for publication, ensuring valuable community perspectives reach the market through credible channels.
Datuk Fad’l Mohamed, CEO of Bursa Malaysia, emphasized that ThoughtStream harnesses independent voices, fostering an informed and inclusive investment community. The platform aims to promote analytical thinking and responsible market participation by providing a credible space for independent research.
ThoughtStream also serves as a training ground for aspiring analysts, offering opportunities to develop skills in equity research, financial analysis, and report writing. Participants can utilize tools such as Bursa digital research, Bursa research investment scheme (RISE) reports, and market data available on MyBURSA during their report preparation.
To boost participation between November 10 and December 31, 2025, Bursa Malaysia will award RM1,000 each to 12 quality reports chosen by investment advisers for publication. After this period, advisers may purchase reports from contributors at a fixed rate of RM500 each. These transactions will occur independently of Bursa Malaysia.
The launch of ThoughtStream underscores Bursa Malaysia’s commitment to creating opportunities and enhancing value in the Malaysian capital market. For investment advisers, it provides access to diverse perspectives and new insights to complement their research. For the investment community, ThoughtStream broadens the availability of quality research and alternative viewpoints, enriching the overall landscape.
