Kuala lumpur: The 2025 Department of Registrar of Societies Malaysia (RoS) Symposium aims to strengthen the role of registered societies as a vital pillar in driving community and national development.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, RoS’s Corporate Communication Unit stated that the symposium, themed “Building Trust, Ensuring Transparency,” is a strategic platform to steer registered societies towards a more inclusive, progressive, and prosperous society. The initiative aligns with the Malaysia MADANI aspiration while reinforcing the RoS’s efforts to support the development of a sustainable, ethical, and resilient civil society.
The initiative will create a space for leaders, government agencies, and experts from various fields to exchange views, share knowledge, and experiences through forums and dialogue sessions. Furthermore, it will encourage strategic partnerships between societies and relevant government agencies to enhance the governance and effectiveness of registered organisations.
The two-day event, which commenced today, was officiated by the Minister of Home Affairs, Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail. The RoS also announced the launch of the Registry of Societies Electronic System (eROSES 2.0). This upgraded system features AI technology, designed to improve service efficiency and marks a significant step in the RoS’s digital transformation towards a more efficient, user-friendly, and responsive ecosystem.
It is hoped that this symposium will support the MADANI Unity Government’s agenda, which emphasises the importance of civil society development by empowering registered societies to act as strategic government partners and effective bridges. The goal of this initiative is to strengthen national unity, social development, and societal inclusivity in the face of contemporary challenges.
