BUDI95: Petron Introduces ‘Pasti Ok’ Campaign To Disseminate Refuelling Information

Kuala lumpur: Petron Malaysia is stepping up its effort to help customers adapt to the implementation of BUDI MADANI RON95 (BUDI95) targeted subsidy programme through the Pasti OK campaign nationwide. Petron Malaysia general manager Mohd Nizam Mansor announced that the campaign involves 820 Petron petrol stations nationwide, with the opening of special BUDI95 counters offering assistance and guidance to customers who are still confused about the method of refuelling.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the campaign includes a music video titled “Semak, Bayar, Isi” featuring Shamimi Amalina Norisham, better known as Mimi Fly, to provide information on the three steps to refuel BUDI95. Mohd Nizam emphasized Petron’s commitment to helping customers adapt to the changing fuel landscape under the new subsidy framework, stating that ‘Pasti OK’ is a promise, not just a slogan.

Mohd Nizam mentioned that the campaign incorporates the use of the ‘Pasti OK’ hand signal in Malaysian Sign Language (BIM), recognized by the Malaysian Federation of the Deaf (MFD), to create a friendly environment for customers with disabilities. Petron is also prepared with initiatives for network disruptions, allowing customers to transact at the counter using MyKasih or Touch ‘n Go Digital facilities.

He revealed efforts to improve the existing system by introducing a new reward system using MyKad as a replacement for the Petron Miles (Pmiles) card. Mohd Nizam acknowledged the uncertainty that change can cause and expressed Petron’s dedication to making the transition easier with engaging experiences and inclusive staff.

Under the BUDI95 targeted subsidy, implemented on September 28, over 16 million Malaysians can enjoy the subsidised price of RON95 at RM1.99 compared to RM2.60 per litre without subsidy.
