Kuala lumpur: Police and military personnel have welcomed the BUDI MADANI RON95 (BUDI95) targeted fuel subsidy, launching this Saturday, calling it a morale booster that enhances their dedication and integrity. Royal Malaysia Police Officer ASP S. Vishvamalar said the move demonstrates the government’s care for its citizens, particularly the security personnel protecting the nation.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, ASP S. Vishvamalar expressed that the initiative motivates public service members to continue serving with dedication and integrity for the country’s development. Similarly, Insp Nik Mohamad Afif Al-Aziz Mohamad Yusof noted that the initiative boosts morale among public servants, encouraging them to serve diligently, with integrity and a strong commitment to the people.
Lance Corporal Mike Miekenzie Justien Latep of the Malaysian Armed Forces mentioned that the reduction of RON95 petrol prices to RM1.99 per litre greatly assists in managing daily expenses. He highlighted how this financial relief allows funds that would have been spent on fuel to be redirected towards other household expenses, easing the family’s financial burden.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim had announced the reduction of RON95 petrol prices to RM1.99 per litre from RM2.05 under the BUDI95 targeted subsidy programme. The BUDI95 system will be rolled out in stages, starting with 300,000 military and police personnel on September 27, followed by Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR) recipients on September 28, and finally for 16 million Malaysians aged 16 and above with a MyKad and a valid driving licence on September 30.
