Kuala lumpur: The government's recent decision to enhance the BUDI diesel assistance and increase the Ploughing Incentive for Padi Farmers (IPKP) aims to reduce the financial burden on citizens and bolster the nation's food supply chain amidst global economic challenges.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Yayasan Dakwah Islamiah Malaysia (YADIM) president Datuk Dr Hasan Bahrom emphasized that this move demonstrates the MADANI Government's dedication to providing targeted aid to those in genuine need. The BUDI diesel assistance has been increased from RM300 to RM400 per month, while the IPKP rate for the 2026 planting season has been raised from RM160 to RM300 per hectare.
Dr Hasan noted that this initiative aligns with the core values of Malaysia MADANI, focusing on well-being, compassion, and sustainability to ensure the long-term resilience of both public welfare and the agricultural sector. From a dakwah perspective, he highlighted that this effort adheres to Islamic teachings on managing resources responsibly and distributing national wealth to protect the ummah's interests.
He further stated that recognizing and supporting government policies that significantly benefit the populace is a crucial part of building a fair and thriving society. Dr Hasan urged all societal segments to value the Government's efforts and foster a spirit of unity in addressing cost-of-living challenges.
