Boy Injured In Stray Dog Attack To Undergo Second Surgery

Kuala lumpur: A six-year-old boy who sustained serious head injuries after being attacked by a stray dog in Batu 9, Cheras, on Wednesday will undergo a second surgery to stitch the outer layer of his scalp. Kajang police chief ACP Naazron Abdul Yusof said the victim, now treated at Putrajaya Hospital, is in stable condition.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the hospital has conducted tests for possible rabies infection and has provided initial treatment, including administering anti-rabies medication. ACP Naazron Abdul Yusof also mentioned that the Kajang Municipal Council (MPKj) confirmed the dog involved in the attack was a stray.

Previously, a video of the boy being mauled by the dog while cycling near his home went viral on social media, along with images showcasing his severe injuries. The incident has raised concerns about the safety of children in areas where stray dogs are prevalent.
