Kuala lumpur: Bosch has announced the appointment of Darren Chan Chon Hoe as the managing director of Bosch Malaysia, marking the first time a Malaysian has held this position. This appointment is effective from July 1, 2025.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, this new role will be in addition to Chan’s current responsibilities as the chief executive officer and managing director of Bosch Rexroth Malaysia, as well as the regional technology leader for industrial hydraulics at Bosch Rexroth ASEAN. Chan takes over from Vijay Ratnaparkhe, who had been serving as the interim managing director for the past 11 months. Ratnaparkhe will now return to his role as the regional president of Bosch in Southeast Asia.
Chan has over 20 years of experience in industrial automation. His career includes leadership roles across Southeast Asia in sectors such as electronics, semiconductors, automotive, and general industries. Chan expressed his gratitude for the appointment, viewing it as a significant opportunity to contribute to Malaysia’s development.
Chan emphasized his intention to leverage Bosch’s extensive experience in Malaysia, which spans over a century and involves more than 3,700 associates. He aims to enhance public-private collaboration and advance talent development, which he sees as crucial to increasing Malaysia’s gross national income per capita. Additionally, Chan highlighted Bosch’s global reach, with approximately 490 subsidiaries in over 60 countries, which allows the company to blend global experience with local insights.
