Sydney: Boomi announced that Greencross Pet Wellness Company (GPWC), the parent company of Petbarn, has deployed the Boomi Enterprise Platform to enhance customer personalisation and improve operational efficiency across its retail, e-commerce, veterinary, and information technology (IT) services network.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Boomi Chief Technology Officer, Asia Pacific and Japan, David Irecki, highlighted that GPWC is demonstrating the importance of strong system foundations for delivering exceptional customer experiences. “We are proud to partner with GPWC to deliver smarter, more connected experiences across its pet care ecosystem,” he stated in a press release.
Jamie Sparrow, GPWC Business Systems Manager, emphasized the transformative impact of the platform on their operations. “Having a single point of visibility has completely changed how we manage integrations,” Sparrow noted, underscoring the platform’s role in providing the reliability and efficiency needed to focus on delivering value.
GPWC oversees Australia’s largest pet care ecosystem, which includes over 250 Petbarn stores, 140 Greencross Vets clinics, and various other services like grooming salons and mobile dog washes. The organisation turned to Boomi to replace its more than 150 point-to-point integrations, aiming to achieve real-time visibility across all systems.
The Boomi platform supports GPWC’s digital pet profile initiative, allowing for personalised pet profiles through Petbarn’s app and e-commerce site. This enables customers to receive tailored product recommendations and treatment reminders specific to their pet’s needs.
In addition to enhancing personalisation, the Boomi Enterprise Platform has standardised GPWC’s integration practices by enabling reusable patterns. This improvement has contributed to better consistency, auditability, and delivery speed across various functions, including inventory, human resources, and digital services.
Looking forward, GPWC intends to broaden its use of the Boomi platform. Future plans include supporting master data synchronisation, automated file orchestration, system monitoring, disaster recovery initiatives, and enhanced data auditability, further solidifying its standing in the pet care industry.
