Body Of Bangladeshi Man Found Floating In Sungai Muar

Gemas: The body of a Bangladeshi man was found floating in Sungai Muar near Kampung Kuala Gemas in Gemas this morning. Tampin police chief Supt Amiruddien Sariman reported that the police received a report on the discovery at 9.55 am today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the 46-year-old labourer had been reported missing after he was believed to have drowned while setting up a fishing net at a water pump area in Kampung Bangkahulu last Thursday. Investigations revealed that the victim fell into the water and was swept away for about 13 kilometres. The victim’s next of kin has identified the body.

The body has been transported to the Forensic Department of Tampin Hospital for a post-mortem examination. The case is currently being classified as sudden death.
