Gerik: The body of a baby of yet unknown gender was found on the riverbank of Sungai Air Kala, Selat Pagar near Gerik this afternoon. Gerik District Police Chief Supt Abdul Samad Othman said police received information from the public about the discovery at around 2.15 pm.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Supt Abdul Samad Othman stated that the gender and ethnicity of the baby have not yet been determined. The baby’s body has been taken to the Forensic Unit of Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital in Ipoh for a post-mortem. He added that investigations were ongoing.
