Kuala lumpur: The body of a 73-year-old local man was discovered floating in a former mining pool at Taman Tasik Rekreasi Tun Perak, Taman Jati, Batu 17, Rawang, early this morning.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Gombak Police chief ACP Ibrahim Husin reported that the Gombak District Police Headquarters (IPD) Operations Room received information regarding the body of the unemployed man at 7:45 am. Preliminary investigations at the scene revealed no signs of external injuries on the victim's body.

The body was subsequently transported to Selayang Hospital for a post-mortem examination to ascertain the cause of death. ACP Ibrahim stated that the case has been classified as a sudden death while awaiting the complete post-mortem report.

ACP Ibrahim further advised the public to refrain from speculating on the incident, as such actions could potentially interfere with the ongoing investigation.
