BoBoiBoy Galaxy Baraju Wins Two Awards At The ContentAsia Awards 2026

Kuala lumpur: As Malaysia prepares to celebrate the 69th National Day, MONSTA proudly puts Malaysia in the spotlight after securing two awards at The ContentAsia Awards 2026 for its animated series BoBoiBoy Galaxy Baraju.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, MONSTA in a statement said BoBoiBoy Galaxy Baraju won the Gold Award in the Best Animated Programme Made in Asia category, beating out animated productions from across the region. The series also received a Bronze Award in the Best Sound Design Created in Asia for an Asian TV Programme/Series category.

"These two wins mark an important recognition of the creative and technical strengths of Malaysian animation production on the regional stage," the statement said. Adding to the achievement, BoBoiBoy Galaxy Baraju has not only received industry recognition but also enjoyed an overwhelming response from audiences, with its content garnering more than 320 million views across MONSTA's official digital platforms, while also becoming the No. 1 kids' animation on Netflix Southeast Asia.

The ContentAsia Awards 2026, held in Bangkok, Thailand, brought together entries from 11 territories across Asia, including major markets such as China, South Korea, Japan and Thailand, making these wins a significant recognition of Malaysian animation in the competitive regional content landscape.

Meanwhile, Director of MONSTA Media, Faiz Zainal Aabidin said the wins were a meaningful achievement for MONSTA, particularly as they come during Malaysia's National Month. "These wins are not just about two trophies for MONSTA, but about bringing Malaysia's name and the work of local talents to be celebrated on the Asian stage. During this National Month, we are incredibly proud that BoBoiBoy Galaxy Baraju can be among the works representing Malaysia through local creativity, animation and talent," he said.

The success of BoBoiBoy Galaxy Baraju at The ContentAsia Awards 2026 adds another major milestone to the journey of the BoBoiBoy franchise, which continues to grow from a homegrown Malaysian animation IP into an entertainment brand with audiences and influence across international markets.
