BNM Explores Tokenisation, Welcomes Feedback

Kuala lumpur: Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) supports a collaborative approach to exploring tokenisation to co-create a safe and sustainable roadmap for the development of tokenised financial services in Malaysia.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the central bank stated that the discussion paper on asset tokenisation in the Malaysian financial sector aims to gather feedback that will inform BNM’s regulatory and development approach for asset tokenisation in the financial sector.

BNM also indicated its openness to receive written feedback on the key themes outlined in the discussion paper. This includes suggestions for specific issues, areas that need clarification or further elaboration, and alternative proposals that BNM should consider.

The central bank emphasized that to facilitate an effective review, feedback should be supported by a clear rationale, relevant evidence, and/or illustrative examples. All feedback must be submitted via email to [email protected] by March 1, 2026.
