Shanghai: Barisan Nasional (BN) secretary-general Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir announced plans to consult with the top BN leadership regarding the recent withdrawal of support for the Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun, by 14 Negeri Sembilan UMNO/BN assemblymen.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Dr Zambry emphasized the need to obtain detailed information and engage in discussions with the top leadership before releasing any official statement concerning the status of the state government. He stated, "I will refer this matter to the Barisan Nasional chairman (Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi) first," while speaking to reporters after a media briefing for the Higher Education Minister's Second Joint Committee Meeting between Malaysia and Turkey and the Bumiputera Education Congress at Menara Dato Onn.

Dr Zambry's comments came in response to questions about the assemblymen's loss of confidence and their withdrawal of support for Aminuddin, which has led to speculation about the stability of the Unity Government in Negeri Sembilan.
