BN Ready To Collaborate With Like-Minded Parties For New Sabah Government

Kuala lumpur: Barisan Nasional (BN) is prepared to join forces with like-minded parties to establish a new state government after the conclusion of the 17th Sabah State Election, as announced by BN chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi. He emphasized that the coalition prioritizes political stability and the well-being of the populace.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Ahmad Zahid, who also serves as the Deputy Prime Minister, urged all Sabahans to uphold peace, unity, and respect for the ongoing democratic process. He stated, “Sabah’s journey forward requires the commitment of all parties, and BN will continue to play a constructive role to ensure the state progresses towards development and prosperity.”

Ahmad Zahid, who holds the position of UMNO president, expressed profound gratitude to the electorate for their trust in BN candidates. He acknowledged and accepted the results of the state polls, which featured a total of 596 candidates, illustrating the vibrant democratic spirit in the state.

He further remarked that the election outcome demonstrates BN’s enduring support and its status as a significant political force in Sabah’s political arena. The election saw 73 state seats up for contest.
