According to BERNAMA News Agency, Blackmores Malaysia and Singapore country manager Kumaran Chandrasergaran stated that the achievement strengthens the brand’s leadership in the health and wellness industry. Blackmores is now the first Australian-manufactured finished goods brand to receive this prestigious certification.
Chandrasergaran emphasized that beyond halal compliance, the certification reflects Blackmores’ commitment to ethical principles, including responsible sourcing, ethical labor practices, environmental sustainability, and animal welfare. He noted that this ensures their products meet the highest global standards for consumers in Malaysia and beyond. This was confirmed during the halal certificate presentation ceremony.
The company underwent rigorous audits at its Warriewood plant and Bungarribee warehouse, evaluating every process against international benchmarks such as Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) to ensure all production stages adhere to the highest standards.
JAKIM is globally recognized as the gold standard for halal certification, renowned for its stringent compliance measures. Blackmores’ supplements now meet the highest global standards, not just for one community, but for all consumers, as stated by Chandrasergaran.
