Big Bad Wolf Books Returns to Alor Setar with 40% New Titles

Alor setar: Malaysia's largest book fair, Big Bad Wolf Books (BBW), will return to Alor Setar from July 30 to August 9, featuring 40 percent new titles to attract visitors and provide a wider selection of reading materials.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, BBW representative Chloe Lim Sooi Yee noted that this initiative is a proactive effort to foster a reading culture among the people of Kedah and is part of a broader literacy movement aimed at supporting the cultural and educational aspirations of the local community.

In addition to the new titles, a special collection of 'Little Ummah' Islamic children's books will be introduced in Kedah for the first time. This collection is expected to draw the interest of the local population due to its engaging content. Approximately one million books will be available for sale at the fair, with prices starting as low as RM3. Discounts of up to 95 percent will be offered to encourage everyone to enjoy reading.

The 11-day book fair is scheduled to take place at the Sultan Abdul Halim Stadium, operating from 10 am to 10 pm daily, with free admission for the public. Chloe Lim emphasized that BBW, known for its 'accessible and affordable books for all' concept, remains a key platform for cultivating a reading culture and enhancing knowledge interest across the nation.

Moreover, BBW plans to visit several schools to promote the fair, offering students and teachers an additional five percent discount when purchasing at least three books.
