Bersatu Warns Members Against Attending Gatherings Organised By Expelled Individuals

Kuala lumpur: All members of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) have been sternly reminded not to be involved in any form of meetings or gatherings organised by individuals who have been expelled by the party's Disciplinary Board. Bersatu secretary-general, Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali, stated that it is an offence for any member to collude with individuals or parties acting contrary to the party's Constitution and making remarks that tarnish the party's name and dignity.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Disciplinary Board has decided that Bersatu deputy president Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin and several individuals have been stripped of their membership rights under Clause 22.5, effective February 13, 2026, for breaching Clause 9.1.4 of the Bersatu Constitution. Clause 9.1.1 mandates every member to uphold the party's aims and objectives and implement party policies, while Clause 9.1.4 requires compliance with the party Constitution and the Rules of the Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct for Party Members.

Mohamed Azmin emphasized that any breach of these provisions could lead to disciplinary action as outlined under Clause 22.1 of the party's Constitution. He urged all party leaders and members to adhere to the party Constitution and foster Bersatu as a vehicle for the future of the ummah and Malaysia.

Earlier, Mohamed Azmin's statement confirmed that Hamzah had been stripped of his membership rights in Bersatu for breaching Clause 9.1.4. The Disciplinary Board also resolved to dismiss five other leaders from the party.
