Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) claimed victory in the mixed doubles category of the SME Bank Media Pickleball Championship, showcasing their prowess on the court in a thrilling final.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the duo of Ahmad Aidil Syukri Hamzah and Dayana Nabila Shaipul Anuar secured the title by defeating The New Straits Times Press (Malaysia) Berhad’s team, comprised of Muhamad Rohaizam Latib and Wan Nor Faizah Wan Hashim, with a score of 21-16. Aidil Syukri credited their success to the strong partnership he shared with Dayana throughout the tournament, emphasizing the importance of teamwork in their triumph.

Aidil Syukri expressed his gratitude, highlighting their complementary skills on court. He praised Dayana for her unwavering support, while Dayana reflected on the championship as a platform for building camaraderie among media colleagues, describing the victory as a testament to teamwork and sportsmanship.

In other matches, Bernama’s Ahmad Syabil Sultan Noordin Ahmad achieved runner-up status in the men’s singles, after a challenging final against Shahrin Aizat Noorshahrizam from The Malaysian Reserve. Despite the loss, Ahmad Syabil expressed satisfaction with his performance and his representation of Bernama at the event.

The women’s singles category saw Bernama’s Harlina Samson secure the second runner-up position, while Datuk Sariha Mohd Ali from Berita Harian emerged as the champion. The championship witnessed participation from 72 individuals representing various media agencies, highlighting the event’s competitive spirit and the media community’s enthusiasm for the sport.
