Bernama Takes Lead in Managing Media Centre for 57th ASEAN Economic Ministers’ Meeting

Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) has affirmed its commitment to managing the International Media Centre for the 57th ASEAN Economic Ministers’ (AEM) Meeting and related events, leveraging its extensive expertise in overseeing major conferences.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the decision to appoint Bernama as the coordinator of the media centre is a testament to its proven ability to deliver comprehensive support and coverage at international-level events. Datin Paduka Nur-ul Afida Kamaludin, Bernama’s Chief Executive Officer, expressed confidence in the agency’s capabilities during her visit to the media centre at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC). She highlighted Bernama’s previous experience in managing media centres for significant meetings, which positions the agency well for this task and for the upcoming 47th ASEAN Summit next month.

Additionally, Nur-ul Afida emphasized Bernama’s pivotal role in ensuring the effective dissemination of accurate and timely information throughout the meeting. This includes providing essential news content, photographs, and video recordings to local and international media outlets.

Bernama has been designated as the Official Media and Coordinator of the International Media Centre for AEM 57. Over 300 local and international media personnel have registered to cover the meeting, underscoring the significance of Bernama’s role in facilitating media operations for the event.
