Kuching: The passing of Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) Sarawak Bureau photographer Muhamad Razali Nordin, 54, has been described as a great loss, as he was highly dedicated and well-liked among colleagues.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Bernama chief executive officer Datin Paduka Nur-ul Afida Kamaludin highlighted Muhamad Razali's commitment and positive influence in the workplace. She noted his professionalism and positive attitude in fulfilling his responsibilities, whether on assignment in the field or at the office. His contributions and commitment are deeply appreciated and will be remembered by the Bernama family.
Muhamad Razali, who passed away at Sarawak General Hospital at 1.44 am, was laid to rest at the Samariang Muslim Cemetery at 11.35 am. Bernama editor-in-chief Arul Rajoo Durar Raj described him as highly creative and consistently committed to his duties, particularly in visual journalism, despite facing health challenges. His passion for photography and innovative ideas were pivotal in Bernama's video content production for social media and Bernama TV.
Throughout his career, Muhamad Razali covered major events both locally and abroad, showcasing his professionalism. Despite frequent hospital visits due to health issues, he maintained his dedication to his career. His extraordinary commitment is a testament to his character and work ethic.
Hailing from Batu Gajah, Perak, Muhamad Razali began his career at Bernama headquarters in 1996. He served at various bureaus, including the Sarawak Bureau in 2002, the Selangor Bureau in 2004, and returned to headquarters in 2009 before being reassigned to the Sarawak Bureau in 2011. He suffered from several chronic illnesses, including heart, liver, and kidney conditions, and his health deteriorated since last Ramadan, leading to his hospitalization.
