KUALA LUMPUR: The National News Agency of Malaysia (Bernama) was among the esteemed award recipients at the Federal Territory Youth Activist Appreciation Ceremony 2024 held tonight. The Special Presidential Award for the Media Category was presented to Bernama’s News Services Executive Editor Mohd Haikal Mohd Isa by Dr Zaliha Mustafa, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories).

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the ceremony also recognized other notable figures with various awards. The Pingat Jasa Belia (PJB) was awarded to eight distinguished individuals, including Datuk Seri Megat D. Shahriman Zaharudin, President of the Malaysian Paralympic Council (MPM), and Datuk Azmir Saifuddin Mutalib, CEO of the National Film Development Corporation of Malaysia (Finas). Additionally, five individuals were honored with the Pingat Bakti Belia (PBB) Award.

The event was officiated by the Melaka State President, Tun Mohd Ali Mohd Rustam, and saw the attendance of several dignitaries, including Kha
irul Rizam Abu Samah, President of the Federal Territories Youth Council. The ceremony highlighted the contributions of youth activists and organizations in the Federal Territory, aiming to inspire continued excellence and dedication in the field.
