Kuala lumpur: Berjaya Food Bhd (BFood) has been announced as the corporate sponsor for the upcoming WE2025: Future in Motion Leadership Conference, set to take place on November 25-26 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC). New strategic partners for the event include the National Council of Women’s Organisations Malaysia, Polity, Peniagawati, the Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce’s Women Entrepreneur Committee, the Women’s International Shipping and Trading Association (WISTA Malaysia), WEConnect International, and media partner Ekonomi Rakyat.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Michelle Lau, the project director of WE2025, emphasized the alignment of BFood’s corporate principles with the conference’s themes of sustainability and inclusivity. Lau highlighted that by embedding inclusivity into their core values, businesses like BFood can inspire others and ignite partnerships that transcend traditional business boundaries. This partnership with WE2025 is deemed significant in fostering corporate responsibility.
WE2025 is organized by Qube Integrated Malaysia in collaboration with the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development and supported by the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry. The event aims to attract 10,000 participants and facilitate RM100 million in potential trade and investment. The initiative underscores the vital role of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the national economy, with women entrepreneurs owning over 20 percent of all businesses as of 2022.
Jessie Tan, managing director of Qube Integrated Malaysia, remarked that WE2025 could potentially become a significant milestone for women in trade and leadership. She emphasized the collaborative nature of the summit, which will bring together businesses, policymakers, and media to create opportunities and amplify important voices in the industry.
The WE2025 event will feature four main components. These include the WE2025 Trade and Investment Exposition, showcasing over 100 exhibitors, and the WE2025 Leadership Conference, welcoming 1,000 delegates from various sectors. Additionally, WE in Dialogue will host over 10 signature events, and WE in Exchange will offer curated business matching to encourage partnerships and trade.
