Bering Lab Joins AI Accelerate Winter Cohort 2026 To Expand In Southeast Asia

Singapore: Bering Lab has been selected for the AI Accelerate Winter Cohort 2026, a 10-week growth programme run by BLOCK71 Singapore and Microsoft with support from Enterprise Singapore through Digital Industry Singapore (DISG).

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the programme is designed to help high-potential artificial intelligence (AI) startups build traction, drive revenue and secure funding as they scale across Asia. Through AI Accelerate, Bering Lab will gain access to Microsoft's cloud infrastructure and specialist mentorship, BLOCK71's network of corporate partners and investors, as well as potential grant funding through the Startup SG Tech scheme.

Under the programme, the company aims to deepen product development for Southeast Asian markets and forge partnerships with regional enterprises seeking to streamline their cross-border document workflows. Bering Lab first gained recognition in Singapore as the first runner-up at the SWITCH 2023 global startup competition, standing out among hundreds of participants for its AI-powered approach to document translation and analysis in regulated sectors.

Since then, the company has expanded its regional presence by establishing entities in Singapore and Hong Kong to serve growing demand for cross-border document processing. Its flagship platform, BeringAI, combines domain-specialised AI models with intelligent document processing capabilities and serves more than 240 institutional clients across the legal, intellectual property, and finance sectors through on-premise and cloud deployment options that meet the stringent security requirements of regulated industries.

The company's technology has also received international recognition, winning top honours at the WMT 2020 and WAT 2021 machine translation competitions. Bering Lab is also participating in the Echelon Singapore 2026 event on June 3 and 4, where it is scheduled to pitch its AI solutions to global investors and potential ecosystem partners.
