Kuala lumpur: Bantuan Kasih Johor (BKJ) Phase 4 is expected to be announced next week in an effort by the state government to reduce the burden of the people's cost of living, said Johor Chief Minister Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi. Onn Hafiz, who is also the Johor UMNO Liaison Body chairman, stated that the initiative is one of the steps taken by the state government to ensure the welfare and well-being of the people.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Onn Hafiz emphasized the government's commitment to addressing living cost challenges faced by Johor residents. He remarked, "To reduce the burden of the cost of living for the people of Johor, the state government led by UMNO will announce BKJ Phase 4 for the people of this state. Insya-Allah, we will announce it next week."
He made these comments during his speech at the 80th UMNO Anniversary Convention at the World Trade Centre. The BKJ initiative is a continuous effort by the state government aimed at alleviating the cost of living burdens, particularly for vulnerable and low-income groups.
Thus far, more than 500,000 people in Johor have benefitted from the assistance, with over RM150 million allocated in the Johor Budget 2026 for the BKJ distribution.
