Subang jaya: Bank Muamalat Malaysia Berhad, in collaboration with the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM) and Masjid Al-Falah in USJ19, Subang Jaya, hosted the Hari Cinta Rasul 2026 Carnival on Saturday to foster devotion to Prophet Muhammad PBUH and strengthen the Muslim community.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the 12-hour event centered on the theme "Menyuburkan Cinta, Mengukuhkan Ukhuwah, Membina Ummah", drew over 1,000 visitors, and featured a mix of religious activities, family programs, and financial literacy workshops. Bank Muamalat President and Chief Executive Officer Datuk Khairul Kamarudin highlighted the carnival's role in demonstrating the bank's commitment to integrating Islamic values into society through an inclusive approach that benefits all sections of the community.
'We want our love for the Prophet Muhammad PBUH to be expressed not merely through celebrations, but translated into living out moral values, strengthening brotherhood, and caring for those in need,' he stated. He further emphasized that the incorporation of social welfare, family activities, and financial literacy into the program is part of the bank's efforts to play a broader role in building thriving and resilient communities.
Datuk Khairul Kamarudin also mentioned that this approach aligns with the bank's corporate philosophy of 'Better Lives, Together', which focuses on shared values, knowledge, and mutual benefit to foster social well-being. As a full-fledged Islamic banking institution, Bank Muamalat aims to extend its responsibilities beyond offering Syariah-compliant products to fostering an educated and supportive society.
The event featured diverse activities, including the KAFA Al-Falah Jogathon, coloring and nasyid singing competitions, calligraphy and archery demonstrations, and financial literacy pocket talks. Additionally, food baskets were distributed to asnaf families, and a Kenduri Rakyat was organized, involving over 40 micro-entrepreneurs supported by Bank Muamalat.
The carnival concluded with a religious forum led by prominent scholar Datuk Dr. Haji Zahazan Mohamed in the mosque's main prayer hall. The event was further supported by the Selangor Islamic Book Expo, providing visitors access to Islamic literature and educational resources.
