Kuala Lumpur: Bank Muamalat Malaysia Bhd distributed 100 packs of iftar meals to the staff of the Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) today as part of the bank’s annual Ramadan programme. Bank Muamalat Marketing and Corporate Communications acting head Mohd Nazrul Hafizi stated that the initiative is part of the bank’s ongoing efforts to express appreciation for media personnel and frontliners.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Mohd Nazrul Hafizi mentioned that, besides distributing iftar meals, the bank actively visits various regions during Ramadan to treat orphans and provide donations and assistance. This Ramadan, Bank Muamalat has visited six orphanages in Kuala Lumpur and four other states-Pahang, Penang, Sabah, and Johor-to contribute Raya clothing, duit raya, and essentials.
He further explained that the bank has allocated over RM500,000 this year for its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, benefiting approximately 13,000 recipients. He also highlighted the longstanding partnership between Bank Muamalat and Bernama, expressing wishes for continued collaboration. “We wish all Bernama staff Selamat Hari Raya and hope that this relationship will continue to be strong,” he said.
