Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning for thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds affecting several regions in Pahang, Johor, Sarawak, Sabah, and Labuan, valid until 1 am today. This alert comes as adverse weather conditions continue to impact the country, prompting caution among residents in the affected areas.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the areas in Pahang under the weather warning include Jerantut, Maran, Kuantan, Bera, Pekan, and Rompin. In Johor, the regions of Segamat, Mersing, and Kota Tinggi are facing similar weather conditions. Meanwhile, in Sarawak, the alert extends to the areas of Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Betong (including Pusa, Saratok, and Kabong), Sarikei, Sibu, Mukah, Kapit (Song and Kapit), Bintulu, Miri (Telang Usan), and Limbang (Lawas).
In Sabah, the regions identified by MetMalaysia as being at risk are the Interior, West Coast, Tawau, and Sandakan (including Telupid, Beluran, and Sandakan). Residents in these areas are advised to take necessary precautions and stay updated on the latest weather information as these adverse conditions persist.
