Ayob Khan Appointed Chairman of FAM Integrity Committee

Kelana Jaya:Former Deputy Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay has been appointed as the Chairman of the Integrity Committee of the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) for the remainder of the 2025-2029 term.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, this decision was made during the Sixth FAM Executive Committee Meeting for the 2025-2029 term held at Wisma FAM. FAM President Datuk Ab Ghani Hassan emphasized that appointing individuals from outside the Executive Committee is based on their credibility and experience to enhance the administration of the governing body.

Tan Sri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay will be supported by Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain, the Director-General of the Malaysian Border Control and Protection Agency (MCBA), as his deputy. The meeting also saw the appointment of chairmen and deputy chairmen for 11 FAM standing committees, aimed at advancing national football management and development.

Datuk Ab Ghani Hassan highlighted the importance of having credible individuals to ensure effective management and governance within FAM. Besides the Integrity Committee, experienced individuals from outside the Executive Committee have been appointed to lead the Referees Committee and the Stadium and Security Committee.

Specifically, Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri, the Bukit Aman Internal Security and Public Order Director, was appointed as chairman of the Stadium and Security Committee, with DCP Datuk Mohd Rozi Jidin as deputy chairman. Additionally, Datuk N. Saaran was appointed Chairman of the Legal Committee and Deputy Chairman of the Finance and Management Committee. Datuk Seri Rosmadi Ismail will head the Technical and Development Committee and serve as Deputy Chairman of the National Football Team Management Committee.

Furthermore, all standing committee chairmen have been given seven working days to nominate their respective members to commence work at the committee level.

In other developments, Ab Ghani confirmed that Datuk Noor Azman Rahman will continue as the FAM Secretary-General, and Datuk Ismail Karim will remain as the FAM Treasurer. The Secretary-General's contract is set to run until the end of next year, while the Treasurer's appointment has been extended for the new leadership term.
